Love Hearts at 70: Exclusive competition and Valentine’s range to mark iconic sweet’s birthday

Swizzels is giving fans the chance to win a money can’t buy prize as it celebrates the 70th anniversary of its iconic Love Hearts sweets.

Seven lucky winners will each receive their own supply of 500 rolls of Love Hearts, embossed with a message of their choosing and encased in a personalised wrapper.

To win, fans are encouraged to share their special stories, explaining why the person or occasion is truly deserving of this unique prize. Entries can be submitted on the Swizzels’ website until March 29.

Alongside its 70th Love Hearts Anniversary competition, the sweet maker is offering up a whole range of loved-up sweet treats in time for Valentine’s Day to help share the love.

The latest addition to the love-themed range is the Love Hearts gift drum, packed full of Love Hearts mini rolls. The sweet maker’s vegan-friendly range includes giant Love Hearts rolls, Originals Love Hearts hanging bags, Love Hearts multipacks including four giant rolls, and Love Hearts clip strips, all available nationwide from major supermarkets and convenience stores.

Fans can also create their own Giant Love Hearts rolls on the Swizzels website.

Claire Lee, senior brand manager at Swizzels, said: “We’re thrilled to celebrate 70 years of Love Hearts by launching this competition and can’t wait to hear how fans will use their unique Love Hearts sweet messages.

“Love Hearts are all about sharing the love, so we are keen to hear everyone’s story regardless of the occasion. Whether it’s for a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or a simple expression of love for a friend or family member, such as “I LOVE RORY,” the messages are entirely up to the fans to choose. Once our favourite seven entries are selected, we’ll work with the winners to add their message on the Love Hearts exclusively for them.”
