BAFTA-winning producer Louise Sutton is returning to Lime Pictures, where she started her career 15 years ago, as Executive Producer of scripted content.
Sutton worked on Brookside, Grange Hill and Hollyoaks when she was previously at Lime.
She most recently produced two critically-acclaimed episodes of Black Mirror for Netflix: USS Callister, starring Cristin Milioti and Jesse Plemons, directed by Toby Haynes; and Metalhead, starring Maxine Peake, directed by David Slade.
After five years on Coronation Street, including as Assistant Producer during its landmark 50th anniversary year, Louise was the first Series Producer of CBBC’s The Dumping Ground, which won a BAFTA, an RTS Award and a Writers’ Guild award.
She went on to produce series ranging from Midsomer Murders, Home Fires and Jekyll & Hyde for ITV to BBC1’s Death in Paradise.
Sutton will report directly into joint managing directors Kate Little and Claire Poyser, developing her own portfolio and working across the company’s current drama slate.
She said: “I am thrilled to be joining the brilliant team at Lime Pictures at a time when the company is going from strength to strength. Having worked around the world, I am delighted to be coming home, to work with the very best talent in the North West and beyond.”
Little added: “As we grow the scripted slate globally, we’re thrilled to be working with Lou, whose first-class experience in developing premium drama for all audiences speaks for itself.”
