Technical consultancy, Amido, has opened its first office outside of London.
The Manchester operation has been established to support a number of clients in the North, including Ralawise and the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre.
Based in the Northern Quarter, Amido says it hopes to employ more than 15 developers, project managers and business analysts by the end of the year.
“The buzz around Manchester at the moment is incredible,” said senior Senior BA Consultant, Aly Mackenzie, who recently re-joined Amido having left in April 2019 to move back up North.
“I am absolutely delighted to be part of the Amido foundation team up here and, with the talent that there is available here and across the North and North West I have no doubt we will be able to build an outstanding team to support our growth.”
It employs more than 150 staff and its clients include ASOS and Save the Children.
“As a proud Northerner myself, the opening of the Manchester office is a particularly proud moment for me,” added CEO Alan Walsh.
“Over the last couple of years, we have seen a real shift in our client base with more and more of our work supporting organisations based in the North. Now is the perfect time for us to establish our presence in the region.”
