ITV has ordered a fourth series of daytime quiz show, Lingo.

The 30 x 60minute episodes will be filmed at MediaCity’s dock10 and hosted by Adil Ray.

“Lingo’s addictive format combined with the brilliance of Adil Ray has made it a staple of ITV1’s daytime schedule,” said Triple Brew’s Ben Shephard and Ed De Burgh.

“It’s brilliant to see how much viewers enjoy it and, with contestants now having the opportunity to appear on more than one episode, the stakes are higher than ever! We can’t wait to start filming.”

The show launched in 2021 and last year’s outing averaged 1.1m viewers.

“I’m chuffed to be hosting another series of Lingo! It has become such a special show for young and old and a real test of who can shout at the telly the loudest! To everyone watching and all the team who make the show! T_ _ _ _ you!,” said Adil Ray.

Brand new to the 4th series, is the addition of a ‘winner stays on’ format. Any team that gets to the final round is guaranteed a place on the following episode giving them the opportunity to accumulate a larger prize pot throughout the series.

The new shows will start filming at dock10 this summer and are due to air in 2024.
