Alan Toner, Lime Pictures’ Digital Creative Director is leaving the Liverpool production company.
In the New Year, he’ll be taking up a new role as Social Channels Lead at Channel 4’s 4Studio.
“Sometimes, opportunities in life come that you can’t turn down and this was one,” he said.
In the new role, he’ll be reporting to Channel 4’s Head of Social, Diane Glynn.
“So, after 8.5 years, I’ve made the tough decision to move on from Lime Pictures Digital. Anyone who knows me knows how much I adore this team,” he continued in a social media post.
“Your tireless efforts and dedication to infusing values into our storytelling are why I’m passionate about our work. We’ve had the privilege of creating content and telling stories that have positively changed people’s lives.”
Before joining Lime in 2016, Toner was Digital Producer at ITV Studios and the first to work on Coronation Street, where he launched the soap’s social platforms.
In 2015, he led a live behind-the-scenes stream of Corrie, with 11 cameras hidden around the set and viewers able to influence what they saw and heard on-screen.
