Tungsten Media, a strategic production studio in Leeds, is upping the game for advertising and marketing content production in Yorkshire with its newly launched virtual production (VP) capabilities.
Tungsten’s scalable AI virtual production is all in-house, and under one roof – offering virtual production, motion control robotics, operational and generative AI and visual engineering, in the same space, at the same time.
This approach to modular VP combines technology, creativity, traditional filmmaking, and GenAI, enabling the studio to create more agile content streams in a more personalised and sustainable way. The setup can display a vast range of content, from static images to realtime 3D worlds to dynamic AI-generated 360-degree environments on varying scales of LED volume around the 4,500sqft Tungsten studio space.
The studio offers a range of benefits for clients from increased flexibility, scalability, and personalisation on the shoot days, to a better control over sustainability and faster turnaround times.
“Our new in-house addition of VP really is a game changer for the creative industries in Yorkshire,” said Simon Sturgeon, co-founder of Tungsten Media. “We’re combining these innovative technologies together, to offer hybrid production solutions that just work. Some of these technologies have been our bread and butter for years, but what’s really cool about this new suite is how they all work together. It creates a scalable, modular solution for motion control and virtual production, at an affordable price point. That’s pretty unique.”

Andrew Beniston, co-founder of Tungsten Media, added: “This is already changing the way we tackle most motion productions. From simple ecommerce product shoots to big TV campaigns, our VP backgrounds can be generated, tweaked, relit, and adapted for seasonality really quickly.
“Using digital assets in combination with traditional production approaches is really the way forward. We’re able to make the content the way we expect it to be made – without the delays and travel.”
Tungsten Media’s new hybrid production studio promises to redefine modern content creation in the North and beyond, establishing Tungsten as a go-to partner for agencies and brands that are looking for innovative, sustainable, and high-quality results, all under the same roof.
