BBC Look North Sports presenter, Tanya Arnold, has announced she’s leaving the corporation to go freelance.
Arnold has been at the BBC since the 90s and has also been the host of the Super League Show since 2012 – replacing Harry Gration.
She wrote on social media:
“Some personal news…!
“2023 is going to be a bit different for me. I’ve decided to leave my staff job at BBC Yorkshire after many years as sports reporter. It’s been a privilege to do the job for so long and it’s given me many amazing opportunities. I’ve got few weeks left before I become a freelancer and I’m really excited about hopefully doing some different things.”
She will be joining the recently formed Decibel Sports Management agency, which is based in Cheshire.
It was founded last year by Garth Brameld a former BBC Sports producer and Pam Melbourne, who spent 10 years as Assistant Editor Major Events, also at BBC Sport.
Its client roster includes Gigi Salmon, Stef Reid and Sonja McLaughlin.
