Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones’s (pictured) The Black Farmer has appointed Leeds communications specialist Wolfstar as its retained PR agency.

The Black Farmer is a food, drink and lifestyle brand founded in 2004 by Emmanuel-Jones, best known for its range of sausages but also offering deli products, beer and cider, clothing, kitchenware and more.

Wolfstar will be responsible for driving conversation and media coverage around the topics closest to the brand and its founder, including encouraging diversity in British farming and agriculture.

It will run campaigns to highlight the current issues experienced by the UK farming sector, and what Wilfred – The Black Farmer himself – is doing to effect change, bolstering regional and national awareness.

This will be supported by activity highlighting the range of products available from the brand, building on its existing reputation.

Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones said: “We were excited by Wolfstar’s enthusiasm and experience within the food and drink industry. We’re looking forward to a working together to increase awareness of The Black Farmer experience.”

Claire Lomax, Director of Wolfstar, added: “We’re absolutely delighted to be working with Wilfred and The Black Farmer team. Their product selection is so exciting and great quality and there is such an important message behind it.

“Wolfstar are very familiar with the food and drink industry and we have established credibility within it. We’re eager to get started on this exceptional brand and to do a wonderful job.”
