Leeds print and digital agency CDS has won a contract with the Ministry of Defence worth £6m a year.
The print management and digital solutions contract was awarded after a mini-tender competition under Lot 2 of the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) end-to-end print and digital solutions Framework RM3785.
Aidan O’Mara, Defence Commercial, said: “CDS emerged from the competitive tender exercise as the overall winner on quality and price. CDS will be able to provide expertise, help and guidance to drive savings and the necessary insight to move the MOD toward digital solutions where appropriate. We are extremely pleased to be working with CDS again.”
Mark Gair, CDS MD, said: “Winning the MOD contract is the result of having a great team here at CDS, able to demonstrate and prove commercial viability and technical excellence.
“We can make a real difference to the MOD, helping to transform communications, by optimising our client’s use of both print and digital channels.”
Using a transparent pricing model, CDS will provide a complete print and digital solution including operational delivery of print requirements with supply chain sourcing and management, as well as associated services. These will include sourcing all raw materials, such as paper and envelopes.
CDS employs 160 staff and is part of the Baird Group, which has 280 employees. It placed seventh in the Prolific North top 50 digital agencies of 2017.
Clients include National Rail, the Cabinet Office, the Metropolitan Police Service, the Ministry of Defence, Transport for London and Zurich Insurance.
