Leeds digital agency Engage Interactive has announced record results, growing turnover by over 100% and increasing its workforce to 16.

Engage, which was launched in 2007 by creative director Alex Willcocks and technical director Dave Wrightson, doubled its turnover to £1.2m for the year ending March 2014.

Six new appointments arrived over the year and the agency moved from its previous headquarters in Harrogate to Munro House in Leeds city centre.

Willcocks said: “It’s been the most successful year yet at Engage, with new additions to the team and some big brand client wins. To pass the £1m turnover mark is a massive achievement for us and pushes us into that next phase of growth, where we’ll continue to progress by doing work that our clients love.”

Engage has recently picked up new clients in the shape of Whitbread, ASOS and Taylors of Harrogate.

Wrightson added: “We manage the digital output and strategies for some really well-known household names now, doing clever stuff for them and winning awards for it. That’s why we’re growing at such a rate and rivalling some of the main players in the Yorkshire region and beyond – we’re not letting it go to our heads though!”

The agency is planning to take on more new staff and is currently undertaking a rebrand.
