Hatch has promoted Helen Simpson to associate director as the Leeds agency completed its best trading year to date, with billings passing the £2million mark.

Simpson, who joined Hatch four years ago, has led the agency’s growing food, drink, lifestyle and travel offering, working with clients including the British Growers Association, Remington and, most recently, the luxury Royal Westmoreland resort in Barbados.

The agency has also expanded to 25 staff across its Leeds and London offices, and increased turnover by over 40% in 2018. It also rose eight places to 10th in Prolific North’s Top 50 PR Agencies 2018.

Simpson, said: “It’s a privilege to join the Hatch board at such an exciting time for the agency. We’ve set ambitious growth plans and I look forward to leading the talented team as we continue to deliver award winning work and develop our offering within the food and lifestyle sectors.”

Jason Madeley, managing director, added: “The past 12 months have seen the agency grow significantly with a number of new account wins and the expansion of the team across our Leeds and London offices. Helen’s vision, creativity and skills will be integral to the senior team’s plans to grow the Hatch brand and offer.”
