Lancashire-based Science in Sport (SiS) has agreed a deal to become the official sports nutrition partner to Liverpool FC.
The agreement, which will span the 2016/2017 season, will see SiS working with the Anfield club to create bespoke nutrition plans and fuel players during training, matches and recovery.
The company’s nutrition offer will be developed for the first team, ladies and academy teams and will incorporate a range of the company’s products, from isotonic energy gels to protein supplements.
All SiS products are manufactured at the firm’s facility in Lancashire.
Liverpool’s chief commercial officer, Billy Hogan, said: “Nutrition is integral to any successful football team and we’re looking forward to working alongside SiS this season.
“SiS is committed to taking its position in the sports nutrition industry seriously which is something that is extremely important to Liverpool Football Club.”
SiS CEO Stephen Moon added: “I am delighted that we will be partnering with Liverpool FC this season – not only as their official sports nutrition partner but also working with them on developing and testing a number of innovative products that we have in our launch pipeline.
