BBC Radio Manchester is airing a new football phone-in show, hosted by Gaz Drinkwater and Kyle Walker (no, not that one).

Walker shares his name with the Manchester City and England defender and is a City fan. Drinkwater meanwhile is a United supporter.

Talking Balls with Kyle and Gaz will air every Monday to Friday between 6 and 7pm from 5th August, it’s described as a “fun, feisty and interactive phone-in.”

“I can’t wait to get started on Talking Balls. I need all the City fans to call in and help me remind Gaz who the best team in Manchester is. It’s going to be brilliant to chat to fans of both teams every night, so give us a call,” said Walker, who has also presented the Dead Good Show on the station.

Drinkwater added:

“City might be the current Premier League champions but United is the biggest club in the world and I’m going to be reminding Kyle of that on a daily basis. I’m really looking forward to kicking off Talking Balls and hearing from fans right across Greater Manchester.”

Drinkwater is a presenter on Man Utd fan channel FullTimeDEVILS.

“I’m so excited about Talking Balls. Kyle and Gaz are fantastic talents who are going to make this show an absolute must listen for everyone, not just footie fans. It will be laugh out loud radio,” said Kate Squire, Managing Editor of BBC Radio Manchester.
