As excitement builds for Liverpool to host Eurovision in May, we’re hosting an inspiring event to celebrate Liverpool’s thriving creative sector.

Beyond Eurovision: Where Next for Liverpool’s Thriving Creative Sector will be hosted on 10th May, filled with informative panels, inspiring stories and the opportunity to network with some of the city’s best creatives at an incredible venue we’ll be revealing soon!

We are inviting leaders and brands to celebrate the success of Liverpool and how the city can properly be recognised as a creative hub, and no longer be overshadowed by the likes of Manchester and Leeds, with its booming tech and gaming sector and innovative hub in the shape of the Baltic Triangle creative and digital district.

As 2023 is a hugely significant year for Liverpool with the Eurovision Song Contest gearing up to descend on the city, it is not only huge for the hospitality sector but will place Liverpool firmly on the map as a leading business and creative hub.

There’s lots to celebrate in the city with plenty of events taking place this year too, with both the Grand National and the Open Championship taking place and Liverpool One celebrating its 15th year.

There will be a selection of dedicated panels taking place across our morning event, including Retaining and Nurturing Creative Talent and Liverpool’s Creativity on an International Stage.

We already have a trio of industry leaders speaking at the event, with plenty more to be announced soon!

Speakers so far include Paul Corcoran, CEO of brand and communications group Agent; Lynn Haime, CEO at digital and creative hub Baltic Create; and Anna Heyes, CEO at marketing and PR agency Active Profile.

“With the world’s eyes firmly on Liverpool for Eurovision, there’s a real opportunity to go beyond the city’s cultural prowess, to recognise, highlight, and celebrate the brilliant growth, investments and developments happening within the creative and digital community here,” said Paul Corcoran, CEO of Agent.

“There’s a lot going on to be proud of – and even more to come! I’m looking forward to joining other creative and digital leaders to explore how Liverpool continues to be an impressive part of the North’s creative and digital ecosystem”
