Charlotte Lock has been named as The John Lewis Partnership’s first Customer Director.
Lock will join from the Co-op, where she’s currently Director of Data, Loyalty and Digital Products.
“Charlotte’s appointment reinforces the importance of placing the customer at the heart of everything we do,” stated John Lewis’ Strategy and Commercial Director, Nina Bhatia.
“Charlotte brings tremendous relevant experience and will play a pivotal role in building our Partnership brand, customer strategy and loyalty propositions.”
Lock joined the Co-op in 2020 after almost a decade at the BBC, including as launch Director for BBC Sounds. After bringing the app to market, she quit the role, after deciding not to continue the commute to London, from her home in the North of England.
She moved over to become Director, Youth Strategy and BBC Sport.
Prior to the BBC, she was a Managing Partner at McCann and Development Director at BJL.
“I leave the Coop with great memories, friends and pride in our achievements and am incredibly excited about the future with the John Lewis Partnership,” she said.
She starts the new role in April and will be responsible for customer strategy across the group and also focus on a new loyalty offering.
