Jet2 launches ‘summer’s saved’ campaign… a day before Spain travel ban

Leeds’ The Home Agency has launched a new ‘Summer’s Saved!’ ad campaign for Jet2holidays – a day before the government banned all non-essential travel to Spain.

Three new adverts aired from Friday, showcasing the Jet2holidays experience to young couples, couples and families. The ads “call out the great deals available this summer and encourage customers to book an ATOL protected package holiday direct or with a local independent travel agent”.

However, the following day, the government announced that non-essential travel to mainland Spain was being stopped because of a spike in coronavirus cases in the country.

Passengers travelling to mainland Spain, the Balearics and Canaries will also need to quarantine for 14 days upon re-entry to the UK. The country is the most popular destination for UK holidaymakers.

The adverts were accompanied by the track ‘Hold My Hand’ by Jess Glynne and premiered during TV programmes such as Vera, Celebrity Gogglebox and The Voice Kids.
