North West brands, JD Sports and Castore have announced separate new Premier League sponsorship deals.

Bury-based JD will be Norwich City’s official shirt sleeve partner for next season, while Castore has signed a “multi-year” agreement with Newcastle United.

Castore, which is based in Manchester will become its “on and off-field partner” and follows similar agreements with Rangers and Wolves.

This will mean Castore will supply home, away and training kits for next season with, for the first time, fans able to buy the same quality Castore shirts that the players will be wearing.

The company will also take over the day-to-day running of the club’s e-commerce operations; redesign the club’s online store; and launch a wider range of merchandise.

The deal will also see it invest in the refurbishment of the existing club store at St James’ Park and open retail stores in Newcastle city centre.

I am thrilled to be partnering with one of the most historic and famous clubs in English football,” said Tom Beahon, co-founder of Castore.

“Newcastle United has a huge and deeply passionate fan base, and we look forward to giving the ‘Toon Army’ something else to get excited about next season.

“We believe the partnership signals not only a new shirt for the new season but also a new start, a new better for this iconic club.”

For JD, as Norwich City’s official shirt sleeve partner, its logo will appear on home, away and third kits for the new season, as well as adult and junior replica kits.

The retailer will also be supporting the partnership with a range of activations and opportunities, locally and through its international base.

“It’s fantastic to see Norwich City back in the Premier League and we are excited for JD to partner with them ahead of the new season,” stated JD Group Executive Chairman, Peter Cowgill.

“With our store footprint in the East Anglia area, alongside the club’s growing international popularity, we are looking forward to bringing this partnership to life and JD being part of the journey ahead.”
