ITV’s head of entertainment commissioning Katie Rawcliffe has added responsibility for daytime programming to her remit.
As director of entertainment and daytime, Rawcliffe oversees the whole daytime slate which includes shows such as The Chase, Tipping Point and James Martin’s Saturday Morning. She reports to ITV media and entertainment director of content Rosemary Newell.
Rawcliffe already commissioned daytime afternoon entertainment programmes, including dock10 favourites like Jeopardy!, Riddiculous and the Deal Or No Deal reboot, and weekend morning shows including Jimmy and Shivi’s Farmhouse Breakfast, Katie Piper’s Breakfast Show and The Chris McCausland Show, and she now also has responsibility for the live weekday morning schedule.
An ITV spokeswoman said the expansion of the role is part of the continuing refinement of the reporting lines following May’s restructure of the media and entertainment division under four pillars. The reorganisation has seen some roles reallocated to new teams and others cut from the business.
Rawcliffe’s most recent daytime commissions include True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat from Love Monday and Nisha Katona’s Home Kitchen from STV Studios. Last week she ordered a revival of darts-themed quiz show Bullseye for a Christmas special fronted by Freddie Flintoff.
She was named head of entertainment commissioning in 2019, stepping up from her role as creative director at ITVS. She joined ITVS in 2008 as head of entertainment before being promoted to creative director in 2011.
Rawcliffe co-created and executive produced Dancing On Ice and has also executive produced hits including The Voice UK, You’ve Been Framed, and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
