Indielab has been commissioned by ScreenSkills Animation Skills Fund, the industry-led body for the screen industries, to launch four dynamic training courses designed to address skills gaps among mid-to-senior-level producers, directors and leaders in the animation industry.
Funded by the ScreenSkills Animation Skills Fund, with contributions from UK animation productions, the courses are set to empower participants with invaluable knowledge and insights to thrive in today’s competitive animation landscape.
Scheduled to commence in May and running through June, each course will run 09.30 – 13.30 over four consecutive days, with sessions delivered online to enable animation professionals from across the UK to participate. The courses are:
- Creative Production Management: Master the intricacies of project planning, budgeting, and resource management to ensure smooth production workflows and successful project delivery. 21st- 24th May, exec produced by Helen Brunsdon. Senior trainer, Simon Quinn.
- Creative Producing: Dive deep into the role of a producer, learning strategies for project development, financing, and distribution to bring animation concepts to life on screen. 4th June – 7th June, exec produced by Helen Brunsdon. Senior trainer, Tim Searle
- Creative Direction: Explore the art of storytelling, visual development, and character design to steer animation projects towards creative excellence. 18th June – 21st June, Exec produced by Helen Brunsdon. senior trainer, Tim Searle
- Creative Leadership: Hone leadership skills essential for guiding teams, fostering innovation, and navigating the ever-evolving landscape of the animation industry. 25th-28th June. Exec produced by Helen Brunsdon, senior trainer Kate Lander.
