Presenters from Liverpool’s In Demand Radio have been confronting the issue of prostate health in partnership with VIDA Clinics.
The team have been shedding light on the importance of regular check-ups and breaking the stigma associated with prostate examinations on air, and also “faced the finger” with comprehensive prostate and blood checks at VIDA Clinics as part of the campaign.
Statistics reveal that one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, so In Demand Radio took the initiative to advocate for proactive health measures.
The presenters chose to highlight the significance of overcoming societal barriers to discuss and address the health of one of the most vital yet often overlooked aspects of men’s well-being.
Steve Cocky, director and host, said: “We understand the importance of advocating for early detection and comforting those jitters during prostate checkups. A huge shoutout to the fantastic team at VIDA Clinics – they’ve been there for us, and if you’re considering a complete health check, be sure to reach out to their team.”
