IMA has told Prolific North that it won’t be commenting on reports that up to 10% of its workforce could be at risk of redundancy.
Over the last 24 hours, we have received several anonymous tip offs about how many staff will be affected, some suggesting up to 100, but we now understand that the actual figure is significantly lower.
The agency, which recently rebranded from IMA-HOME, is owned by global sales and marketing group, Advantage Smollan.
It acquired IMA in 2017, which it then merged with fellow Leeds agency, HOME, in 2021.
That led to the creation of what it dubbed a £70m “super agency” with a goal to employ 600 staff by this year. However, the number is still around the 400 mark.
The group’s client list includes the likes of adidas, Wren Kitchens, Diesel, CLOUD NINE, Rubicon, Bumble, Great Rail Journeys and Vaillant Boilers.
IMA has offices in Leeds, Manchester, London, New York, Gibraltar, Sydney and Cape Town.
