Krishnan Guru-Murthy is to present a national television debate from Hull, ahead of the local elections.
The Channel 4 special will see the 5 main parties go head-to-head in the hour-long show ahead of polling on 1st May.
“Sparking debate is central to our remit and we look forward to bringing our popular political formats to Hull,” said Channel 4 News Editor, Esme Wren.
“These polls could have a big impact on the political picture in the country and we’ll unpack the issues with our signature special programming for UK-wide audiences.”

The television debate on 29th April will be filmed in front of a “politically-balanced” studio audience.
The format will feature a panel of representatives from the main parties, who will discuss set topics affecting local communities and take questions from the audience.
It will be supported by coverage from Channel 4 News’ correspondents.
‘Election 2025: The Debate’ will be broadcast on Channel 4 News at 7pm on 29th April.
