Hull-based performance marketing agency Summit and affiliated technology brand Productcaster have announced the completion of a management buyout by managing directors Ryan Thomas and Martin Corcoran.
Corcoran joined the business in 2015, while Thomas arrived two years later. The pair have now acquired 100% control of the well-established agency from former owner TCC Global.
Corcoran, who will now serve as CEO, said: ““We were always interested in buying Summit and we have purchased a business with great people, products and clients. The business has clear positioning and heritage within online marketing and eCommerce as well as being highly differentiated through its proprietary Productcaster technology, garnering 200m clicks on Google every month.”
Key clients include household names like Three Mobile, Joules, H Samuel, Ikea, Levi’s and Ann Summers. The company has already added 20 new hires in 2022 and expects to make a further 20 by the end of the year. It has this year doubled its media spend with Google year-on-year, and late last year took out a long-term lease on new office space in Hull’s C4DI tech complex.
