Huddersfield Town have revealed their home kit for the upcoming 2019/20 season, featuring a huge diagonal sash bearing the name of sponsor Paddy Power.
However, the sash is so large and prominent that it has left people questioning whether it is a publicity stunt.
Football Association regulations state that a sponsor logo can be no more than 250cm squared on the front of a shirt and this one seems to be much larger.
The Irish bookmaker is well known for its publicity stunts, including backing former football star David Ginola to be Fifa president. The new Huddersfield kit is supplied by Umbro and “features a modern spin on the traditional blue and white striped home shirt thanks to new title sponsor Paddy Power,” according to the club.
