You can now apply to host a fringe event as part of Digital City Festival 2024!
Digital City Festival, the annual event series that brings together the digital and tech sectors from the North and beyond, is returning to Manchester from 15-19 April.
Alongside a number of exciting anchor events organised by the team at Prolific North, the festival is also inviting companies and individuals to host their own fringe events for free across the week. By hosting a fringe event, it’s an opportunity to take the stage, share your ideas, and build your community as part of Digital City Festival.
Over the years, a special mix of fringe events have been part of Digital City Festival from the launch of SocialNorth, female tech founder nights, to ecommerce dinners and digital networking.
If you’re a business or individual in the media, digital, and tech sectors, and have a strong event idea and would love to take part in this year’s festival, we want to hear from you! To get started, please get in touch by filling out the form here. Make sure you tell us what your event idea is, and why you want to host it!
If you need some inspiration, below is a sneak peek at some of our anchor events taking place across the Digital City Festival week.
On Monday 15 April, we’ll be hosting a Digital Leaders Summit and reception to unite key industry leaders. This event will delve into growth and innovation of the North’s digital economy, the talent pipeline, discuss access to investment and funding in the North, and how digital and tech can support the green agenda.
On Tuesday 16 April, we’ll be hosting the Made in the North Summit and exhibition, a collaborative event with industry figures across the broadcast sector. Here, we’ll be examining the key challenges and opportunities the sector is facing, and explore how we can strengthen the North’s media and broadcasting sectors to take on London and beyond.
Ecommerce Show North, a special anchor event on Wednesday 17 April, will bring together retail and ecommerce businesses to understand the latest trends shaping the industry, and how to stay ahead of the curve.
If you’d like your event to be featured as part of the festival agenda, please submit your application here before the deadline closes on 16 February. Good luck!
