Leeds-based marketing agency, HOME, has been appointed by the UK’s leading independent manufacturer of sugar confectionery, Tangerine, following a competitive two-stage pitch.
The agency will take on responsibility for the company’s brand strategy, creative, communications and social.
Sam Rainey, Chief Commercial Officer at HOME, said: “This is another great win for HOME with a fantastic company who are going places, as seen by recent investments in the business. The guys at Tangerine really understand what we are all about and the strategic marketing role we play in growing together with our clients.
“We’re excited to be working with all of their big confectionary brands, such as Barratt, Fox’s Glacier Mints and XXX Mints. We’re confident we can get them where they want to go and beyond.”
With offices in Leeds, London, Gibraltar and Sydney, HOME agency employs over 160 staff and has a turnover of £40m.
HOME’s current clients include Argos, Asda Money, Boots Hearingcare, First Group, Interflora, Jaguar Land Rover, Jet2.com & Jet2holidays, Kohler Mira, Principal Hotel Company, Royal Canin, Science in Sport, to name a few.
Russell Tanner, Marketing and Category Director at Tangerine, added: “HOME impressed us from the very start thanks to their strategic problem-solving combined with eye-catching creative.”
The appointment comes at an exciting time for Tangerine, after Valeo Food’s buyout of the firm in 2018, and the recent announcement of a £7.5m investment in its York factory.
The investment will help create 90 jobs and increase production capacity by 30%.
