Leading events and brand communications agency Make Events has appointed Down at the Social to handle digital marketing, PR and social media in a partnership for growth.
Down at the Social (DATS) will oversee the digital marketing strategy for the Wilmslow-based events consultancy, which was founded in 2012 by Holly Moore and pivoted through COVID to diversify its offering – introducing virtual events and a content studio, among others.
Manchester-based DATS will be responsible for social media management, organic content creation, eCRM, blog writing, organic and paid marketing on behalf of Make Events.
Its PR team will also work with Moore to grow her profile as a key figure in her industry and Manchester’s business community.
“Holly is an absolute legend in Manchester and I really admire her straight talking approach to dealing with the pandemic,” said Daisy Whitehouse, MD at Down at the Social.
“When Lucy, who worked for Make Events, came to work at Down at the Social, I was humbled by Holly reaching out to say thank you for giving Lucy the opportunity and supporting her member of staff in their next career move. This has led to a strong bond between the two businesses and we were delighted when Holly suggested we talk about getting involved and supporting their growth.”
Holly Moore, CEO & Founder of Make Events, added” “I am so excited to be working with Lucy again and to have the whole Down at the Social PR and social team on board.
“I have set a high bar for the business in 2022 and it’s vital that we work with the right partners to reach it. I know that their creativity, social know-how and media contacts are just what we need to make 2022 our very best year yet. A piece in the Daily Mail in the very first week of the contract definitely kicked our relationship off in style!”
