Dinosaur has created a new website for Manchester Museum as part of its £15m “hello future” upgrade.
The museum is part of the University of Manchester and it sought to reflect its 3 core values in the new site: to be the more imaginative, inclusive and caring.
“We’ve built a single brand experience that works for everyone. No small feat, from the UX, user-testing, design and build, to the testing and hundreds of pages of content, it’s a lovely piece of work,” said Frank Fenten, Digital Director of Dinosaur.
“We’re proud to be supporting such a long-standing Manchester institution as it says hello to its future. And so good to see it all come together.”
Dinosaur was briefed to create a “cohesive brand experience” to appeal to its many audiences, including visitors in Manchester and internationally, academics, researchers and educators.
“Manchester Museum welcomes many thousands of people through the doors every year and visitors come from diverse backgrounds and have different needs,” explained Anna Pickard, Communications Manager at Manchester Museum.
“So this was quite a complex project as our website has to work for multiple audiences. The way Dinosaur’s UX team created a site that is inclusive and works for everyone has been brilliant. And, of course, it looks amazing!”
The new website launches in conjunction with the reopening of the museum on the 18th February.
