Code Computerlove, one of Manchester’s most renowned digital agencies, has rebranded as EM Code, inspiring what will probably remain this week’s most tenuous punk classic-referencing headline in the process.
The rebrand signifies a pivotal milestone in the agency’s evolution, following a seven-year integration with EssenceMediacom North, a division of the global advertising giant WPP.
Established in 1999, EM Code has earned industry acclaim for its award-winning services in web development, brand strategy and digital innovation. Its reputation has resulted in the agency working with household names including BBC, Oxfam, Asda and Bentley.
The rebrand to EM Code not only introduces a new name and logo but also promises a new strategic proposition in response to the evolution of technology and market needs, and follows the departure of founding partner and CEO Tony Foggett last month.
EM Code will continue to deliver its traditional services in web development, design and brand while further deepening its capabilities in AI, technological innovation and customer experience.
Paul Cooper, chief operating officer for EssenceMediacom North, said: “The rebrand to EM Code marks a significant milestone in our journey of integration and innovation. Modern brands face the challenge of managing an intricate network of digital touchpoints. With an increasingly difficult market, the emphasis is shifting towards the critical roles of retention and brand equity.
“The rebrand to EM Code is the final step in a journey that has seen our two agencies integrate ever closer, realising our vision of a fully connected service for the entire customer journey. We’re excited to continue delivering exceptional value to our clients, leveraging our enhanced capabilitiesin AI, technological innovation, and customer experience.”
Louis Georgiou, co-founder of EM Code, added: “From our early days working at the dawn of the dot com bubble to now working with AI, our passion for pushing the boundaries of technology hasn’t changed. The rebrand to EM Code signals our continued evolution and our readiness to meet the future head-on. As EM Code, we will continue to offer industry-renowned services in web and app product development, customer experience, AI, and tech innovation. It’s the start of an exciting new chapter that aims to help us add greater value to EssenceMediacom North clients and effectively drive our collective growth and success.”
Over the past year, EM Code and EssenceMediacom North have strengthened their collaboration at the newly shared office at the WPP Manchester Campus in Spinningfields. This move enhances EssenceMediacom North’s capabilities beyond media acquisition and activation, promising to deliver breakthrough growth across the whole customer journey.
