Creative communications agency, Hatch, has been brought on board by Carnegie School of Sport, part of Leeds Beckett University, to launch its brand-new Executive Master of Sport Leadership course.
Designed to be undertaken alongside existing working commitments, the course is taught over two years through a combination of theoretical, vocational, and applied learning, supported by lectures from leading speakers in the sports industry, and aims to pave the way for business and sporting professionals to develop their careers within sport.
Hatch, which specialises in PR, social media, content and activation, will support the application drive across Digital PR, content and paid social media. This follows a successful launch event last week which saw 50 sports industry leaders enjoy an evening of discussion on the future of sport leadership with an esteemed panel of sporting experts.
Victoria Tidmarsh, director at Hatch said: “With our experience in the sports industry and the fact that our HQ is in the heart of Leeds, this felt like the perfect opportunity for us to collaborate with the force that is Carnegie School of Sport and play a small part in helping them to drive industry-wide innovation. From our short time of working with the course team so far, I’m confident that future cohorts will not only enjoy their experiences but will also learn career-shaping skills and tactics that pave the way to C-Suite roles.”
Sara Ward, director of executive education at Carnegie School of Sport said: “Carnegie School of Sport has a rich history of shaping sports professionals and future leaders. We’re proud to launch this innovative program that will help build sports leaders of the future, and to help them develop the skills which are needed to navigate and transform the industry.
“Hatch’s connections to members of the sports industry and their experience of working in the sector made them the perfect team for us to entrust with this important opportunity.”
