Commercial radio station, Happy Radio UK, is to extend its reach in the North West.
The station, which was co-founded by radio presenter and DJ, Darren Proctor, broadcasts from Sale, Greater Manchester will soon be available on the new DAB multiplexes for Stockport, Preston, Warrington and mid Cheshire.
This will be in addition to its current coverage in Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, North Wales and Blackpool.
“We are focused on getting uninterrupted DAB coverage of Happy Radio throughout the North West of England,” said Proctor and co-founder Max Eden.
“When we launched back in April 2022, we set out to deliver an uplifting feel good radio station playing ‘The Songs That Make You Smile’ that delivers local content from well known heritage presenters with high end production and extensive music variety, We are incredibly proud of what we have created and developed with Happy Radio and want to ensure that people all over the North West can tune in and enjoy Happy Radio.”
Happy Radio’s presenter line-up includes Steve Penk, Spence Macdonald, Chelsea Norris, Paul Crone, Pete Price, Sam Walker and other well known heritage presenters.
