Leeds agency Gratterpalm is soon to be no more – next week it will rebrand as CreativeRace.
The change comes following a period of “accelerated growth”, which includes the acquisition of London-based CRM specialists Underwired at the end of 2014.
“The Company, and indeed the industry as a whole, has evolved rapidly since Gareth and I took over Gratterpalm in 2002,” explained chairman, Gordon Bethell, who alongside Gareth Healey purchased the company as part of an MBO.
“As such, we wanted a name that truly reflects our scale and pace, our people – who are undoubtedly our most important asset – and the race for creativity that our clients face on a daily basis. We feel that the name CreativeRace perfectly encapsulates our core values and aptly reflects the unique group of people working at pace to deliver outstanding creativity for our clients.
“This rebrand is a great platform for our further ambitious growth plans, and will act to cement the amalgamation of the Gratterpalm and Underwired brands under one umbrella name.”
The company now employs over 180 people, with offices in both London and Leeds, and is changing its name on 7 September.
The company’s last filed accounts at Companies House for the year ending December 2013 showed sales of £10.48m and ptp of £1.88m.
The company, ranked no 7 in Prolific North’s definitive compilation of the North’s Top Integrated Agencies, boasts expertise in national and local advertising, in store creative, digital, mobile and shopper marketing, as well as being ranked 29th on the Sunday Times best SME to work for.
