Godel to ‘disrupt the derivatives market’ with Tokenovate

Godel Technologies is partnering with financial services tech firm Tokenovate to “develop cutting-edge technology for effective management of the end-to-end lifecycle of derivatives trading.”

Tokenovate provides digital financial market infrastructure, including tokenisation and blockchain-powered smart contracts, enabling programmatic lifecycle event management of the pre-trade to post-trade workflow of asset-class agnostic OTC and exchange-traded derivatives.

The Cambridge and London-based software company aims to support the growth of modern financial instruments in the 21 st century, fusing legal, technology and economic expertise into digital financial market infrastructure suited for the new financial world.

To help evolve and deliver its ambitious software, Tokenovate looked for a nearshore partner that would add development capacity to the current team and complement its internal skill set.

Gerard Banaszkiewicz, COO at Tokenovate explained: “With a demanding, dynamic and ambitious technology roadmap, we decided to scale up our team with a nearshore partner that could augment our in-house IP development and core engineering expertise with an agile, parallel-build mindset, spanning an array of programming languages, UX engineering and project management.

“We conducted a thorough selection process with a large pool of potential suppliers, and ultimately chose Godel as our partner. What stood out about them was their understanding of the informal nature of a startup and their ability to work within our time frame. From the beginning, we appreciated their responsiveness, attention to our requirements, and potential to grow with us if needed.”

Manchester-based Godel will be supporting Tokenovate’s non-core services that help them run and deploy faster.

“The Godel team is working with our internal team with design, QA, front and back-end development, as well as some project management. Each Godel member has a designated Tokenovate ‘buddy,’ and we run bi-weekly sprints, which Godel is a part of together with the Tokenovate team. As our partnership grows, we can see a pathway to do more together, and we know that Godel will work alongside us to support our team, offering valuable insights and helping us bring new features to market quickly,” Banaszkiewicz said.

Gareth Ainsworth, CEO at Godel added: “We are excited to be partnered with Tokenovate, a business that is at the forefront of using new technologies to disrupt the financial services industry. Godel will be supporting the business in bringing products to market faster to support Tokenovate’s ambitious plans.”
