IT transformation consultancy, Iridium, has appointed Dom Hardman as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Hardman moves to the Leeds firm from TransUnion where he was Senior Vice President of International CISO. It was during this period that he met the Iridium team, which was providing services to TransUnion.
“Having worked with Iridium on the client side, I’m delighted to be sitting on the other side of the table to help the business extend its capability to deliver industry-leading security solutions,” he explained.
“When I worked with Iridium previously, I was blown away by the team and its ability to deliver exceptional results and achieve transformational business outcomes. I can’t wait to collaborate with the business’s practice leads and work with our clients to understand their key challenges, deliver change, and help them take the next step on their cyber journeys.”
In his new position he will add to the consultancy’s cyber security practice and help clients with strengthening their cyber security capabilities.
“Having worked closely with Dom to recently deliver a successful transformation, I can honestly say that he is the best in the business when it comes to security leadership,” said Sinclair Elliott, Director and Co-Founder.
“He has a reputation as a trusted board advisor and is renowned for his expert advice surrounding cyber security strategy and pre- and post-management of security breaches. Having worked with international businesses in moments of crisis, he brings the skills and ability to enable recovery and deliver security transformation across people, processes and technology. I’m excited to see the results that he, alongside our other practice leads, will deliver.”
Hardman has previously been on the Board of the National Technology Security Coalition in the United States and was hired by Equifax in 2018 as Vice President Information Security Officer for Europe, after a major security breach at the group.
“Despite record spending on cyber security, there is a continuing pressure to protect businesses from security breaches,” said Ben Dainton, Iridium Director and Founder.
“As such, security is more important than ever for consumers, clients and regulators. We can say with 100% confidence that the threat landscape will continue to be challenging, however, with Dom’s expertise we can expand the support we offer and are excited about the opportunity to deliver solutions such as security strategy and assessment, M&A support, fractional CISO, SOC and breach response.”
