Geordie Shore and Big Brother star Charlotte Crosby is to front a new series being commissioned from fledgling indie Rumpus Media.
It’s the first commission for Rumpus which is headed by previous head of development at Ant & Dec’s indie Gallowgate, Iain Wimbush, and Emily Hudd, who has produced series including Channel 4’s Chancers and School For Stars for CBBC.
The four part series will follow Crosby as she travels the world visiting extraordinary communities. It’s reported that in one episode, she will live with the Furisode ladies of Tokyo, who are steeped in the traditions of Japanese geishas.
The show has been commissioned by Sarah Thornton, vice president, lifestyle production and development at TLC.
