GAS Music has kicked off the year with a reworking of the iconic Gillette advert – The Best A Man Can Get.
The ad, which first aired in 1988 with its premiere at the Super Bowl, now features an updated music track from Tom Grennan, which GAS recorded at RAK Studios in London.
“It was joy to work with the brand and Tom, on this iconic campaign, and great fun,” said Gary Hilton Director GAS Music.
“Our Creative Director Greg had to step in with a 1,2,3,4 count for the first line to help Tom sing, which was one of several highlights on the recording day!”
MediaCity-based GAS Music was brought in by The Marketing Arm (TMA), part of Omnicom and P&G’s agency of record worldwide for all brands covering celebrity, music, IP and sponsorship, to create a new soundtrack and work with popstars for each region.
TMA searched for and managed the appearance of Tom Grennan and worked alongside GAS, P&G and its creative agency, PG One / Saatchi & Saatchi.
