Music production agency GAS Music, based at MediaCity, has produced the soundtrack to a trailer for BBC’s upcoming coverage of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
GAS Music composed the full soundtrack and sound design for the 40 second trailer, with the creative developed by BBC Creative and directed by Balazs Simon of animation studio Blink Ink.
The creative agency also composed the 30 second title sequence, which will be used across all of the BBC’s coverage of the Winter Olympic Games.
The BBC will show live coverage and highlights of all the major Winter Olympics events across BBC One, BBC Two, BBC iPlayer, Red Button and the BBC Sport website.
Viewers will also see BBC’s coverage from a virtual reality studio, based at Media City, within a ski lodge setting.
Presenters Hazel Irvine, Jeanette Kwakye, Ayo Akinwolere and JJ Chalmers will lead the coverage with Clare Balding hosting a daily highlights show on BBC2. A daily one-hour extended highlights show on BBC3 named Extra will be presented by Aimee Fuller.

The trailer below premiered at the weekend and the Winter Olympics will be held from 4th to the 20th February.
