Yorkshire tech and data science business Frame has launched the brand new client interface for its Better Images product.

The long-anticipated update aims to simplify the process for clients by allowing them to seamlessly connect their eCommerce back end and manage their sales data and website images themselves.

Better Images is an e-commerce tool that allows businesses to automatically generate new and improved images for their products without the need to go back to the photo studio. With the new portal clients are able to securely connect their eCommerce store, such as Shopify, and Frame’s Better Images intelligent algorithm is then able to score, improve and generate new images and SEO for their existing images.

Better Images intelligently scores a product image by taking into consideration a number of factors, including if the product is in use, its setting and vibrancy. The technology then generates more image options for lower performing visuals, which automatically improves SEO in line with Google’s best practice. It can also help with SEO performance by ensuring that all images have proper naming and alt tags, which can make them more easily discoverable by key search engines.

Frame says that this all adds up to less instances of cart abandonment and increased sales volumes. Current users of Better Images typically benefit from sales uplifts of between 10 to 50 per cent, according to the creator.

The new Better Images portal took 12 months to develop, has been created for use across all key sectors and is most applicable to products where end customers make an emotional decision at the point of purchase. It is currently being used by clients in the retail, homeware, beauty, fine foods and health & fitness markets – all of whom are heavily affected by seasonal trends and need to be able to tailor and tweak their product images quickly and cost effectively.

Hannah Bratley, co-founder and CEO of Frame said: “We are excited to be launching the Better Images portal after months of careful planning and curation. Our principal aim is to put the latest and most innovative tech and AI at the fingertips of our clients. This will save them the time, energy and costs which are associated with product photoshoots. Bricks and mortar stores are able to easily change their instore merchandising in line with the seasons and key calendar dates, and now the Better Images portal can empower online retailers to do the same.”
