Former Yorkshire Post Deputy Editor launches media business

Ian Day, a former Assistant Editor at the Yorkshire Post and Yorkshire Evening Post has set up a new photography and media consultancy.

Day, who spent 3 decades in publishing, including as Group Picture Editor at (the then) Johnston Press left the paper almost a year ago.

“When I left The Yorkshire Post at the end of last year, I took some time off to recharge my batteries,” he told Prolific North.

“So, after over 30 years working across the national and regional media, I decided to work for myself – specialising in professional photography, editing and media consultancy.”

With his new company, Ian Day Media, the ex-Head of Sports Photos at PA said his main purpose was to provide “tailored editorial consultancy services” including training for individuals and businesses.”

“With my industry experience, I am aware of the significant impact that well-crafted visuals can have on captivating an audience and communicating the correct message,” he continued.
