The media group behind Tameside Reporter, Glossop Chronicle, Oldham Reporter, and Tameside Radio has hired two media big-hitters.
Matthew Margetts will join Not Really Here Group as Senior Non-Executive Director. The former Head of Business and Finance at Telegraph Media has also held senior roles at Microsoft, AOL and AppNexus.
“We are delighted to welcome Matthew to our leadership team. His wealth of experience and expertise will strengthen our hyper-local media strategy, bringing visionary insight and a dedication that aligns perfectly with our mission to provide impactful and community-focused media services,” said Emma Marsh, CEO of Not Really Here Group.
The group has also recruited media strategist, Garrett Harte, who’s the former Editor in Chief Ireland’s largest commercial radio group, Newstalk.
He’ll become a board advisor, to support the strategic growth of the Group’s newspapers, radio stations, and digital networks, while championing the expansion of the Youth Media Network, an initiative designed to empower the next generation of media professionals.
“Together, Matthew and Garrett bring an unparalleled depth of knowledge and leadership that signals Not Really Here Group’s commitment to transforming hyper-local media across Tameside, Glossop, Oldham, and beyond,” continued Marsh.
