A former Manchester Evening News reporter has launched a PR consultancy.
Alex Bell, who worked on the business and crime desks at the MEN for almost eight years, was most recently chief operating officer at Manchester agency Roland Dransfield.
His new venture, BellPress, has secured Professor Vikas Shah MBE as a first client.
He’s been tasked with promoting Shah’s debut book Thought Economics to the national media and has partnered with TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) UK North, which is among the largest entrepreneurs’ networks in the world.
“It’s exciting to get the consultancy up and running and an honour to be involved in the launch of Vikas Shah’s Thought Economics and to have partnered with TiE UK North,” said Bell.
“BellPress’ offer will be strong, relevant and consistent and we’re looking forward to working with companies as they continue to navigate new challenges and opportunities that have arisen over the past 10 months.”
