Steel City Interactive has made a number of new appointments in the lead up to the release of its new title, Esports Boxing Club (ESBC).
North Carolina-based, Will Kinsler, has been named as its Global Communications Director following a decade at Epic Games working on titles including Fortnite. Prior to that he was Senior Community Manager at Electronic Arts.
He’s joined by Producer, Ehson Khaliq, who’s worked on AAA titles for studios including Sumo Digital, Splash Damage and Guerrilla.
The Sheffield firm has also appointed an AI Programmer and 3D Character Artist.
“To have the calibre of staff joining at this stage in our company is incredibly exciting, and an indication of where we’re heading as a game studio,” said Ash Habib, Co-founder and CEO of Steel City Interactive.
ESBC currently features more than 200 male and female boxers including legends Muhammed Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Rocky Marciano, Roy Jones Jr and current champions Canelo Alverez, Terence Crawford, Josh Taylor, Lawrence Okolie and Katie Taylor.
