The BBC is going to revisit its football archives as it brings football back to BBC One from this weekend.
Dan Walker will host Football Focus this Saturday, with a selection of interviews and features, including Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Juan Mata, Kyle Walker and Raheem Sterling. MOTDx will also select their Premier League team of the decade.
In the afternoon, Guy Mowbray will go through the FA Cup archive to show some of the FA Cup quarter finals from the 70s and 80s. He’ll also return on Sunday to show highlights from Everton v Ipswich in 1985 and Man Utd against Portsmouth in 2008.
On Saturday evening, Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Ian Wright to host Match of the Day: Top 10: Premier League Captains. This will follow on from the first episode of their new podcast series.
The BBC has also released a series of sports documentaries on the iPlayer.
