Lancaster-based digital marketing agency Fat Media has been working with international translation firm One Global, to launch a new interactive site.
One Global, which carries out translations for firms including IBM, was looking for a new website that could “operate on an international level and offer personal touches”.
Fat Media has been working on the site using development platform Umbraco and has launched a new look website which uses easy navigation and offers an interactive experience for website visitors worldwide.
Zara Longhorn, senior account manager on the project, said: “Navigation was key for this site, and with a wide range of sector experience, we needed to be sure that all were equally prominent and accessible.
“We have also incorporated a new ‘linguist login’ area for the One Global team. It was also important that the website reflected the same focus on customer service and client relationships that are core to the One Global brand, to achieve this we developed various personal touches to the site such as a live chat function, social media integration, and video testimonials from clients.
“The results have been fantastic so far, with the average session duration on the site up 70% compared to last year – meaning our improved navigation is helping users find what they want, and video content is keeping them engaged. This is also reflected in the bounce rate, which is down 27%.”
Paul Green, Managing Director of One Global, said: “The new site is a much better reflection of the type of business One Global is and showcases our services & sector focus perfectly.
“We’ve already seen a marked improvement in performance which we expect to continue over time. Fat Media were faultless throughout the project, delivering a site that was perfectly in line with the original brief.”
