Clare Fallon has been appointed as Channel 4’s new North of England correspondent, working out of their bureau in Manchester.
Fallon, who was previously working as a reporter for BBC North West, started her new job today.
On Sunday, she tweeted: “Preparing to be the new girl… Tomorrow is day one of new job as North of England Correspondent for @Channel4News. Travelling down to that London to meet the team. Super excited. Super scared. Repeating to myself that I must try not to appear like a flailing-limbed-banshee.”
Presenter Cathy Newman replied: “Welcome and congrats. And don’t worry we’re all flailing-limbed-banshees really…”
