Day One
David Espley, CTO of Radius Payment Solutions, will be open up talks on the Tech Masterclass Theatre on behalf of 101 Ways (10.10am) talking about how to migrate from mainframe to the cloud. Mike Longfellow and Darren Goldie from Modo25 (10.50am) will talk about their new agency model whilst explaining how to take control of digital spend.
The Founder of AI Tech North, Sherin Mathew, will explain how businesses can implement AI tech (11.30am) before a talk by BJSS and Co-op about how tech is changing access to goods and services (2pm) with Steve Gatenby and David Gore.
Mark Curtis-Wood of Vaioni Group Limited ends Day One on this theatre by exploring how tech is shaping the customer experience (2.40pm).
Over on the Tech Innovation Theatre, Mobica’s Dawn Embry starts Day One (10.10am) by focusing on the world of user-centric innovation.
There is then a panel discussion with In4.0 Group’s Mo ISAP, Inevitable’s Ben Grubert, SLWF MEdia’s Ste Bergin and Natalie Jameson from The Landing (10.50am) talking about opportunities for innovation and collaboration in MediaCityUK.
Natalie stays on the Tech Innovation Theatre for the next panel discussion (11.30am) but is joined by UP’s Emer Coleman, Flock’s Michal Wisniewski, and Andy Almond from Langham Recruitment, to explain why diversity and culture are key to accelerating a business.
The afternoon’s Tech Innovation talks include Dr Louise Sheridan (1.20pm) looking at diversity and inclusion strategies that attempt to level the playing field, before iomart’s John Burrowes delves deeper into solving mass data fragmentation in the hybrid cloud era (2pm).

Day Two
AND Digital’s Matt Lee begins proceedings on the Tech Masterclass Theatre for the second day of the expo, talking about how companies can create ubiquitous experiences (10.10am). Jon Corner, Founder of The Landing and Chief Digital Officer for the City of Salford will be exploring connectivity and how we can embrace the future (11.30am).
The afternoon sees Naomi Timperley sharing why people and communities need to be part of creating tech (2pm) before Beckie Taylor from Tech Returners’ talk ‘There’s a bridge over the skills gap – you’re just not using it’ closes the Tech Masterclass Theatre talks (2.40pm).
Over on the Tech Innovation Theatre, James Akers from Digital Culture Network, Arts Council England, begins the talks on Day Two by sharing ‘Fantastic metrics and where to find them’ (10.10am) before a panel discussion on why 5G matters for the future of smart cities (10.50am) takes place with speakers from ARM, Vodafone, Machine Compare and The Landing.
Another panel will then talk in depth about the value of VR (11.30am) and will feature speakers from Xpllore, Holovis, The Landing, and Immersify Education.
SkyParlour’s Angela Yore (1.20pm) will share how to create and communicate a purposeful narrative internally and externally, especially when it is not obvious, before Hannah Forbes from The Funding Crowd (2pm) talks about equity crowdfunding, and shares how to get it right.
Jody Marks from MRJ Recruitment (2.40pm) will end the talks on the Tech Innovation Theatre with a discussion that explores the war for talent in the North, caused by the surge in companies moving there.
