Channel 4 has commissioned a one-off Bentley documentary from Endemol Shine North.
The MediaCityUK-based production company will produce an hour-long behind the scenes look at the Bentley brand.
Inside Bentley (working title), will film its Crewe headquarters and get exclusive access to its newest model, the Bentayga.
“Even if we could never afford one, many of us have a fascination with what goes into the design and manufacture of a luxury car. This documentary lifts the bonnet on an iconic British brand whose assembly line remains proudly located in the North West of England,” said commissioning editor Ian Dunkley.
Endemol Shine North has built a specialism in motoring programmes with Supercar Megabuild, Crash Car TV, Idris Elba: No Limits and Ali A’s Superchargers
“To be given unprecedented access to the creative space of such an iconic manufacturer was an eye-opening experience. The programme is a celebration of traditional British craftsmanship, and how it can be adapted to fit into a modernised world,” added Rick Murray, creative director of Endemol Shine North.
Joe Lister will produce and direct, with Murray as executive producer.
