Following the huge success of previous Emmerdale and Coronation Street set tours and related activities, ITV Studios has today announced a new season of behind-the-scenes fun for fans as it reopens the doors to both shows for 2024.
With both productions filming almost two feature films a week each, the weekends bring the time to stop and open the doors to give soap fans from all over the world an immersive treat as they step into the ‘real world’ where the shows are filmed. With set changes and the occasional top secret storyline ‘spoiler’ no two tours are ever the same, potentially giving visitors the occasional unpredictable plot twist visit or sight of something brand new before it hits the nation’s screens.
Last year’s ‘Star Tours’ received a thumbs up from visitors and cast alike, and alongside the tours of the cobbles of Corrie and the lanes of Emmerdale Village the team at the Coronation Street Experience are planning plenty more exciting activities and events including special cinema screenings and, after the sell out introductory screening event An Evening with Todd Boyce, more Evening with…. fun throughout the year.
The new Coronation Street Experience was unveiled last year, including cafe, cinema and exhibition floor which continues to allow fans to experience that little bit of extra telly magic, from getting up close to legendary props and costumes to sitting in the replica Roy’s Rolls before a photo behind the replica Rovers’ bar after a walk around the set.
Over in Emmerdale this year you will join your tour by coach from the beautiful Harewood House estate, home to the UK’s most famous village which is hidden deep within its grounds. Arriving at the village guests will experience fan favourites including a wander by The Woolpack, a nosy at David’s Shop and of course a walk through the world’s only permanent fake graveyard.
Bookings are now open for both experiences, and details of additional ‘super soap’ events will be released throughout 2024.
