Emma Barnett’s mid-morning show on BBC Radio 5 live is to expand to four days a week.
The 32-year-old, who received considerable attention – and some abuse – after “skewering” Jeremy Corbyn on Radio 4 during the election campaign – will front The Emma Barnett Show on Monday to Thursday, from 10am till 1pm.
A 5 live spokesperson said her new show would feature more of Barnett’s “no holds barred” interviewing style.
Adrian Chiles, who currently presents 5 live Daily in the slot on Mondays and Tuesdays, will move to Fridays for a new Chiles on Friday show and will replace Stephen Nolan as a presenter of Question Time Extra Time on Thursday night.
Nolan will be continuing with his show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, and there are also plans for a podcast involving the Northern Irishman.
The new schedule will start on Monday January 8th.
