Edinburgh’s ‘fastest growing tech company in the North’ opens Manchester office following rebrand

CreateFuture has today been unveiled as the new name of Edinburgh digital consultancy xDesign following an extensive rebrand, and the agency is celebrating with the launch of new offices in Manchester and London.

The news follows a year of positive momentum for the Edinburgh-headquartered company, which over the last year has acquired innovation and design agency CreateFuture – whose name it now takes – whilst attracting minority investment from Soho Square Capital to support its UK expansion plans.

In April, the company was named as the fastest growing company in the North at GP Bullhound’s prestigious Northern Tech Awards, following revenue growth of 119% in FY23.

A company statement on the rebrand said: “Life as xDesign took us on a remarkable journey. But for our next step, we needed to make a change. In order to offer full end-to-end support to our customers, xDesign has now evolved into CreateFuture. With xDesign and CreateFuture united, we can now offer everything from brand, proposition and experience design to product development, software engineering, delivery, cloud and data, and managed services.”

Turning to the new offices, CEO Euan Andrews said: “As well as unveiling our new name and brand, the launch of our new offices in Manchester and London only adds to the buzz that currently surrounds the company. Both cities are home to a large number of our clients, as well as being huge centres of global tech investment. Our presence in both is vital as we continue on our growth journey and with our mission to build digital solutions that have real-world impacts.”

The new Manchester office will be headed up by CreateFuture’s head of North England, Mark Dore, who has joined from Accenture. He will also oversee operations at the company’s existing Leeds office.

Dore said: “Launching our Manchester office is yet another huge step forward in the CreateFuture story. Manchester has always been the engine room of innovation in the UK, and is officially the biggest tech hub outside of London.

“Expanding our physical presence in Manchester and London will support us in further consolidating our client relationships; help us play an even bigger role in local tech communities, and provide our teams with a space where they can come together, collaborate on client challenges – and most importantly – have fun in the process.”
